when you have been recently ticketed for the same thing. Of course this doesn't apply for things like speeding, but for a "non moving violation" it is sometimes viewed that you haven't had the time or money to fix the problem, and fining you more for the same thing again just delays you being able to afford correcting the issue. Plus, I will probably talk to the prosecutor before the judge, and they will normally help you out if you are kind and polite. Again, this isn't an EXCUSE for the tickets. Do I deserve them? Of course. I knew I needed to have a front plate. I knew my inspection is out. I knew I was breaking the law by peeling out at a red light and speeding over the limit. That doesn't mean that the courts have to hang me by my thumbs. We'll see what happens when I go to court. I can only hope for the best.
